Interview magazine was founded by Andy Warhol in 1969. The American publication has been nicknamed The Crystal Ball of Pop, due to it being founded by the pop artist therefore the covers being as 'popish' as possible. Again the photo is a close up focusing on the cover stars good looks. The mast head stands out against the black and white background which makes the 'brand' of the magazine stand out and as a reprocussion makes the magazine easier to spot on a shelf. However there isnt much text on the front page and this cover goes against the left side third rule by putting text in the shape of a tear on the cover stars face.

Pop magazine is a lifestyle magazine which frequently has Pop Stars as their cover stars. The cover is bright fun and the mise en scene used makes Elton John look extravigant and someone of high celebrity status. His costume is quite fun and something we'd expect of a pop star. Pop magazine is published bi-annualy which means it is only out twice a year. This could be because the cost of production or an attempt to make the magazine more exclusive. The logo/ mast head is just 'POP' which is very self explanatry due to the lifestyle magazine being about popular coulture. The colours are atractive, the yellow fits nicely with the pink and i feel it could get away with being mistaken for a music magazine due to the pop star and the name of the magazine. The editor Katy Grand said that her main concept was that "it to be really jolly. And pink — I was obsessed with it being pink." This cover seems to fit into the 'Pop' Genre and is something id like to take insperation from for my magazine. Pop Magazine is part of  The Bauer Publishing Group who publish a range of magazines ranging from Grazia to The Angeler Times.
