These are the two new photographs i have decided to use due to better quality.

However i still feel the same effect of the 'popstar' look and feel about the photographs is still achieved just like before.

I have decided to use my other friend jess to be my magazine star due to me having better quality photographs of her and although Rosey has the right image I belive jess does too.

This is the front cover for my music magazine. The mast head reads 'Star music' this identifies my magazine as a music magazine it also gives my magazine a brand so if my audience want to buy it again its easily recognisable. The pink and green splash of colour over the black and white background presents the magazine as a pop music magazine, as does the picture  (reasons in the post before). The black and white effect on the picture i believe makes the product look more professional. I have used the typical convention of the left hand side so that when my product is on the shelf it can draw attention without having to be picked up which may be some hassle for the consumer. Rosey is looking at the camera which makes the consumer think they are important which will attract the buyer. As of yet my product doesnt have a bar code however this will be corrected.

My friend Rosey i feel has quite an edgy rock/pop star look shes always experimenting with different looks/ outfits so i felt she'd be the perfect candidate to be my mock pop star. This is the photograph i have taken of her and plan to use in my magazine. She looks attractive and i feel her hair and makeup is the perfect mise en scene im going for which is a rock/ pop chick. The head and shoulder shot fits nicely too as most of the magazines i have researched use this shoy

My media magazine will be full of fun, bright colours and give off a 'pop' music vibe as that is the genre i have chosen. This may seem childish however like 'Pop' magazine im going to try and give it a sophisticated 90's pop look and hopefully attract people of the ages 17- late 20's, and ofcourse anyone interested in Pop music. Pop music is anything that's popular so if it was the 1950's my music magazine might be on Rock and Roll, however in 2013 id argue that Solo artists from the likes of Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rhianna ect to bands like Swim Deep, The Vaccines and Yeah, Yeah Yeahs class as popular music, Pop music in our era is extreamly versatile which is why i dont feel the need to have a niche genre of magazine as this would make it extreamly harder to have a target audience, where as popular music vertually covers anything.

For the cover of my Magazine Im going to photograph either my friend Rosey or Layla in a head and shoulders shot, and then a close up. I will then decide which of the two's pictures look best and edit them using photo shop. In Interview magazine Bjork looks extremely attractive, she's easy to spot and recognise and i believe this is because a close up shot has been used. The colour contrasts nicely with the black and white background which is something i could experiment with when doing mine.

Names for music magazines are extreamly important 'Q' magazine was formerly called 'Cue' due to it holding connotations of Cuing a record however as records got replaced by CDs this meaning was lost by people in the changing society and the magazine got mistaken for a snooker magazine so they changed the name to 'Q'.
BASS:
I was thinking about using the name 'Bass' as its short, and has relevance to music however its not very 'popish' and something that seems jolly as its connotations are that of low sound and a double meaning of a fish which isn't what I'm trying to convey.
Noir: I thought of 'Noir' as its the French term for black which again isn't very popish how ever it sounds quite sophisticated to say and again its short. I also thought about film noir and the extravagance and mystery surrounding those types of films.
Prodigy: This is defined as a person especially a young one gifted with exceptional abilities which is what Pop Stars are.
Stars: Stars in the sky are lovely to look at however it could have a double meaning of a Pop Star a person/ thing we look up to. I feel this give out the right image for my magazine and will probably be the one I use due to this.

I have decided that the type of music magazine i will create will fall into the genre of 'Pop' this is because 'pop' is an abbreviation for popular culture which will make it easier for me to reach a wider range of people and therefore having a bigger target audience who are interested in a relatively easy thing to convey; Popular music.
